Transforming Bahrain’s Sheraton Hotel

Innovation has always been at the forefront at the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel. Our goal has been to maintain and improve the high quality of services and facilities that Sheraton is known for. Through constant renovation and improvement of our properties we set out to create a sophisticated look and a totally new concept in cuisine,” said Claudio Ricciolini, Sheraton’s enthusiastic General Manager.

Such an example is the new, fresh Italian atmosphere in “Spiga,” a newly opened Mediterranean/Italian restaurant created by interior designer Bent Severin from Bent Severin Design Inc, San Francisco, in association with Arabtec Hotel Interiors, said Ricciolini.

The snazzy ambiance is replete with rich marble and classic Italian furniture that mixes classic styling with a contemporary design. Modeled after a typical Italian garden with frescos on the wall, the spaciousness and design are closely paralleled with an extensive, eclectic and inventive menu that emphasises fresh and superior ingredients. Award winning chef, Luca Molteni, is on hand to create innovative, delicious creations.

And, if you’re in the mood for a romantic meal under the stars, an adjoining patio overlooking the sea offers the perfect solution.

Also recently opened are “Les Palmes” and “L’Etoile” Lobby lounges, set in an elegant, comfortable and relaxed setting featuring a delicious selection of snacks and wonderful homemade pastries accompanied by a large selection of fine teas.

The latest attraction to the Sheraton is the new Eurasian restaurant, Soie, where the Far East and Asia meet with delicious results.

But the Sheraton’s GM has ambitious plans for the new millennium. “By the end of 2000, the hotel will be completely renovated, from the rooms to the food and beverage outlets.

“Two butlers have been sent to St. Regent’s Hotel in New York to be trained, as one wants to offer the best butler service possible,” said Ricciolini. “We currently offer two floors with 24-hour butler service,” he said.
