Le Royal Meridien Bahrain

Bahrain's only resort hotel and spa is located on the beach in Sanabis, a five-minute drive from the city center.

Employees at Le Royal Meridien like to note that their hotel is the flagship of the Meridien hotels worldwide. Their boast is not without reason; the hotel's goal is to remain the crème de la crème of the 100 worldwide Meridien properties. Le Royal Meridien Bahrain aims to be recognized as one of the world's top 10 hotels. It also is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.

To begin with, the hotel has exclusive beaches and private gardens, which form a semicircle and create a private lagoon at the heart of the hotel grounds. The semicircle creates a fabulous jogging route -- with water on both sides of the path.

The relaxed friendly atmosphere enhances the detailed elegance evident throughout the hotel. Among the excellent services and top dining facilities are a helipad, a newly opened Trader Vic's, Hammam pools and exclusive outdoor tents with shishas (hubbly-bubblies) and live music throughout the hotel - from a harpist is the lobby to quartets in various restaurants.

Outside, near an expansive pool area flanked by a freshwater lake that is home to flamingoes, ducks, herons and thousands of migrating birds, an alfresco café overlooks the hotel's beach, with the distant lights of Manama city-center on the horizon.

In addition, the Middle East's latest health spa, one of the best in the world, opened here at the end of February. It is the largest women's health spa in the Middle East; it is also one of the first spas worldwide to offer the unique combination of a thalassic multi-jet pool, which uses fresh Arabian Gulf water, with its set salinity and no chlorine or other chemicals.

Innovations are continuing throughout the hotel's beautiful 50-acre complex, including work on a new boat dock. This and a lot more add up to the hotel's five-year success story, with services and standards valued and appreciated by an increasing number of both returning and new clients.
