Geography: Maltese archipelago consists of three inhabited islands (Malta, Comino, Gozo) and two uninhabited. Located in the Mediterranean Sea, 55 miles south of Sicily and 138 miles north of North Africa

Size: Total area is 190 square miles (Malta 148, Gozo 40, Comino 1.6)

Climate: Mediterranean with hot, dry and sunny weather in summer. Average daily summer sunshine is 10 hours
